Dr. Joseph Hopfinger, a Professor of Cognitive Psychology, and Dr. Kathleen Gates, an Assistant Professor of Quantitative Psychology, are the recipients of a 2014 $150,000 Human Cognition Grant from Lumosity (Lumos Labs, Inc).
This first-time Human Cognition Grant is a research grant dedicated to advancing the understanding of neural basis of cognitive training. The Human Cognition Grant is an extension of Lumosity’s research platform, the Human Cognition Project, which brings together researchers from around the world in an effort to better understand the workings of the human mind.
This grant will support Drs. Hopfinger and Gates’ research to investigate changes in brain connectivity from cognitive training through group and individual fMRI analyses.
